GI Energy shortlised for “Renewable Project Of The Year – Commercial” at the H&V NewsAwards

GI Energy are happy to announce that we have been shortlisted for another industry award. “Renewable Project Of The Year – Commercial” within the Heating and Ventilation awards. GI Energy look forward to the awards evening, and hopefully we shall win our category on the night.

Old Oak Common was put forward for the award, and this project demonstrates the benefits of combining renewable energy and LZC technologies. Approximately 54% of the new railway depot’s heating and cooling will be provided from renewable technologies and 20% of electrical load will be generated on site from CHP / Solar PV, providing the rail depot with an overall 33% renewable energy solution. It is assessed that once operational, run cost savings will be circa £100,000 per annum when compared against conventional equipment, and will save some 530Tonnes of CO2 per annum.
